Dream interpretation

An apple tree in a dream represents a good man who serves and cares about his community. A crack in a tree in a dream represents members of one's family who will brace against him. A palmyra tree in a dream represents a wise man, a poet, or an astronomer. Seeing one, or sitting under it in a dream, means meeting such a person. An oak tree in a dream means profits, prosperity, honor, and associating with heedless people who live in the mountains. It could also mean visiting righteous people or a renunciate who lives in the wilderness or in uninhabited ruins.

A mimosa tree in a dream represents stinginess, evil, or pursuing the actions of the dwellers of hell-fire. A buckthorn tree that grows date-like fruit in a dream represents a noble and generous woman, or it could represent a noble and generous man. The greener its color, the greater the person. Seeing this tree in a dream means that one will rise in station, acquire knowledge, and grow in piety. Eating its fruit means an illness. Climbing this tree means stress and difficulties. If one knows the condition of a specific tree in wakefulness then sees it in his dream, it means that such condition will last. In general, trees in a dream represent women or men of different tempers or personalities, and they may also represent fights.

An unknown tree means distress, worries, adversity, and fear, especially if one sees it in darkness. Sitting in the shade of a tree means profits and money, or relying on a powerful person, or befriending a wealthy person. For a person on the path of innovation, sitting under a fruit-bearing tree means repenting and returning to the right path. Taking shelter under a fruitless tree means pursuing something that will bring no comfort or benefit.

A fragrant tree, a flowering tree, a moringa or henna tree in a dream represents wise men, religious scholars, teachers, or preachers who do not follow what they teach. A citrus tree represents righteous, wise, and conscientious people who follow the principles they preach. A palmyra tree or a walnut tree represents people of high social class from whom one gains nothing. A poplar tree or an evergreen cypress tree represents stinginess and greed.

A maple tree, or other trees that change their leaves over the year, represents poverty, prosperity, remembrance, forgetting, celebration, or sorrow. A large tree that does not shed its leaves in winter represents long life, prosperity, envy, or religious steadfastness. Climbing a tree means escaping from danger or avoiding something distressing. Seeing an unknown tree inside one's house means being burned by fire or strife within the family. Ordinary trees and city trees represent enemies, or men who strive for a lawful living.

Planting a seedling means marrying a girl from a renowned family and attaining rank. A plane tree, a sycamore, or a similar tree represents great, powerful, and famous men who have no wealth. A thorny tree represents a confused man. Cutting down a tree means the death of one's wife, the breaking of a contract, or the breaking of a pledge. A tree drying up means the death of a traveler in an accident or the death of a sick person.

A king or a powerful person carving a mark into a tree means a plot to destroy someone. Cutting a tree with a sickle or shears means demanding something the other party cannot provide. Taking money from a tree means earning lawful and blessed money, or living near such people. Planting a tree in a garden means the birth of a child. A plane tree represents long life. A peach or plum tree represents a short life. A cluster of trees around a fragrant tree means gathering for mourning or loss. The leaves of a tree represent money.

A tree outside the house represents one's clan or employees. Inside the house, a female tree represents women and a male tree represents men. Seeing a forbidden tree is a bad sign. The tree through which God Almighty spoke to Moses (peace be upon him) represents drawing near to God. A dead tree represents guidance and wealth, because it is a source of fuel. Sitting in the shade of a tree and praising and glorifying the attributes of God means receiving God's blessings in this world and the hereafter. Seeing the heavenly Tuba tree means a good end, a life of renunciation, or helping others. Seeing a mountain tree represents extra voluntary worship, work, or unexpected gain. A palmyra tree represents good and truthful speech.
