Canal Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a canal usually speaks of some flow in your life that you want to guide along a set course. A river bends wherever it likes, but a canal is dug to carry water where it is needed. So a canal in a dream is often a picture of your daily routine, through which your emotions also run in a fixed channel. What the water was like and what you were doing there decide the meaning.

• Clear water flowing in a canal

Your life is moving in an orderly rhythm right now. Work is going to plan, and your mind feels steady.

• A dry canal

The work or relationship that once gave you life has lost its pull.

• A canal choked with water hyacinth

Water hyacinth is the floating weed that clogs village canals in Bengal. Here it stands for small problems that have piled up and are slowing your normal pace, and they are best cleared one at a time rather than all at once.

• Crossing a canal on a bamboo footbridge

You are getting ready to move from one phase of life to the next. If the bamboo bridge feels shaky, you still have doubts about taking the new step.

• Rowing a boat on a canal

You are moving along a familiar route with your own hands on the oars. If rowing against the current is hard, it shows how much you feel you are fighting your circumstances.
