Crab Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a crab often speaks of the part of you that has covered itself in a hard shell for protection. The contrast between the crab's tough shell and its soft inside makes it an unusual symbol: hard on the outside, and just as sensitive within. The meaning changes with what the crab is doing.

• A crab coming at you with raised claws

Anger or a defensive attitude you have been holding toward someone in waking life now wants to come out.

• A crab walking sideways

On some matter in your life, you are taking a roundabout route instead of the direct one.

• A crab hiding in a hole

This shows a tendency to withdraw. Perhaps your mind is still on guard after being hurt.

• Catching or cooking a crab

It is time to work consciously on your own defensive habits.

A crab moves easily both in water and on land, and it reminds you that the ability to adapt to hard situations is also a kind of strength.
