Face Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a face is usually tied to your sense of identity, meaning who you are and how you present yourself to the world. A face is where people first come to know each other, so in dreams a face often arrives carrying this question.

• Not recognizing your own face in the mirror

Many people have this dream, especially during a change in life, when a gap opens between your old sense of self and a new reality.

• Marks or wounds on your face

Your confidence has cracked somewhere, and you are worried about how you look to others.

• A person with no face

You feel that someone's real self stays hidden in a relationship, as if you cannot fully know the person in front of you.

• Seeing a stranger's face again and again

The mind often blends a few familiar faces from waking life into a new one, so it is not always easy to find a single meaning behind it.

The face is where the inner person and the outer person show up together. So a dream in which a face changes is not one to brush aside.
