Journeying Dream Meaning

Dreaming of being on the road usually speaks of moving from one stage of your life to the next. Roads, vehicles and the act of traveling are among the oldest and plainest symbols people have. So this dream often comes when you are standing before a big change, such as a new job or a new chapter in a relationship. The condition of the road changes the meaning.

• Moving along a smooth, straight road

You are heading in the right direction with confidence, and there is a sense of ease in your mind.

• Getting stuck on a bad road

A bumpy, broken or closed road means that in waking life, too, you have run into obstacles while working toward a goal.

• Losing your way

This often hints at doubt about a decision in your life.

• Traveling together with someone

It shows a feeling that your life and that person's life are bound up together.

• Traveling alone

Depending on the situation, this speaks of freedom, and it can also speak of loneliness.

Notice whether you reached your destination or stayed stuck along the way. Still, the dream reminds you that the meaning of life does not always lie at the destination. Much of it is found in the traveling itself.
