Rat Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a rat often speaks of small worries that do not look big on their own but pile up into unease. Rats move about out of sight, so in a dream a rat stands for a problem that has not come into the open yet but is quietly doing damage.

• Rats running around your home

There may be a hidden problem in your family or in a close relationship that has not surfaced yet.

• A single rat

This points to one small worry you have kept to yourself.

• Many rats at once

You feel that the situation is slipping out of your control.

• A rat chasing you

It speaks of a fear or a duty that keeps following you no matter how much you try to avoid it.

• Killing a rat or driving it away

This is a reassuring dream. You now have the courage to deal with the problem that was eating at you from within.

Rats are also masters of survival. So if you dream of one, remember that you too carry a natural strength to hold on through hard times.
