Teacher Dream Meaning

Seeing a teacher in a dream means it is time to learn one of life's lessons, and the push may be coming from inside you. In childhood a teacher stood for knowledge and rules, so when one returns in an adult's dream it often means that someone or something is guiding you in waking life, or that you are trying to correct your own mistakes. Much of the meaning depends on who the teacher is and how they behave.

• A teacher you know

The dream may remind you of something unfinished with that person in real life.

• Standing before a strict teacher

This reflects an overly critical attitude toward yourself, as if you are constantly testing yourself.

• A teacher praising you

Deep down you feel a kind of relief about a recent effort or decision.

• Seeing yourself as the teacher

Standing in a classroom teaching others shows that some experience in your life has put you in a position to help others, even before you fully understand it yourself.

• Failing an exam or being caught without your homework

This is an old anxiety born of the fear of being unprepared, one that many people carry for years.
