Wine Dream Meaning

Seeing or drinking wine in a dream can stand for a moment of enjoyment in your life, and also for a fear of losing control. The situation in which you see the wine tells you whether the dream carries a message of joy or a warning. The color of the wine and how much there is also change the meaning.

• Red wine

This is often tied to strong emotion and a festive mood.

• White wine

Your mind is looking for some light, simple pleasure.

• Wine spilling over the glass

Some part of your life is becoming excessive, perhaps your work or your emotions.

• An empty bottle, or the wine running out

A time of celebration is coming to an end, or the attraction in a relationship is fading.

• Getting drunk on wine

A fear of losing control is at work somewhere in your real life. It feels hard to keep your words and actions in check.

• Drinking wine and laughing with friends

This speaks of the pleasure of carefree relationships.

In waking life alcohol takes people out of their own control, and in a dream this symbol reminds you of the same balance: any pleasure that goes beyond its limit eventually becomes a burden.
