Work Dream Meaning

Seeing yourself at work in a dream is usually tied to the pressure of real-life responsibilities or to a wish to prove yourself. Notice what the workplace was like and how the work was going, and the meaning becomes much clearer.

• Work going smoothly

Seeing your work move along without trouble reflects your confidence and a sense of control.

• Making mistakes again and again, or missing a deadline

Some real-life pressure, or doubt about your own ability, has built up inside you. Dreams of trouble with coworkers say the same thing.

• Working in front of your boss

This means that deep down you want someone's recognition.

• Working alone

This expresses a wish to move forward relying on yourself.

• Doing the work of an old job

If you dream of doing a job you left long ago, some unfinished matter or past experience is still pulling at you.

• Being fired or laid off

This dream does not always come from a real fear of losing your job. More often it comes from inner uncertainty about your own worth.

In the end this dream reminds you that finding a balance between effort and reward is an ongoing process, not something you finish in a day.
