Blacksmith Dream Meaning

Seeing a blacksmith in a dream is tied to the process of reshaping yourself or your situation through hard work. Just as iron is heated in the fire, then bent and hammered into a set shape, this dream often speaks of a hard time that is making you tougher inside. The meaning changes with what the blacksmith was doing and what was being made.

• Watching someone hammer iron with great focus

You are meeting a challenge in your life with patience and effort, without rushing.

• Seeing yourself as the blacksmith

You have taken into your own hands the task of shaping part of your life with care.

• Sparks flying or a deafening noise

This speaks of pressure you are having to bear at this moment.

• A broken tool or work grinding to a halt

Some plan is running into obstacles right now, but because of circumstances, not because you lack skill.

• A blacksmith making weapons

This speaks of getting ready to defend yourself or to fight.

• A blacksmith making a household tool

You are making an effort to make daily life easier.

Big change often comes through heat and pressure, and in the end a blacksmith dream brings that truth to the front.
