Windstorm Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a violent storm points to a sudden upheaval in your life that feels beyond your control. Wind snaps branches and tears the roofs off houses, and in the same way something in your waking life may be breaking old rules or plans and making room for something new. Where you were during the storm shapes much of the meaning.

• Being caught in the open by a storm

You are having to face a challenge in your life head on, with no time to prepare.

• Watching the storm from shelter indoors

You have found a way to protect yourself, even though the situation is still frightening.

• Things blowing away in the storm

You fear that some part of your life is slipping out of your hands.

• The storm ending and the sky clearing

When this scene comes near the end of the dream, it shows your mind trusts that the hard time is passing.

No storm lasts forever, however strong it is. Keeping that simple truth in mind makes the turmoil of waking life a little easier to bear.
