Bathroom Dream Meaning

Seeing a bathroom in a dream mostly speaks of an urge to spend some time alone with yourself and to wash off what is weighing on you. For many people the time spent bathing is the only quiet moment in the day, and the dream brings out how much that private time matters.

• Bathing calmly

This carries the feeling of a weight lifting from your mind. You want to wash away old tiredness and worry and begin again.

• Someone walking in, or a bathroom door that will not close

A dream like this feels uncomfortable. It shows that you feel exposed about your personal boundaries, as if anyone could walk into your private space at any moment.

• A dirty or broken bathroom

If the bathroom is filthy, falling apart or without water, it shows that caring for yourself has been neglected for quite some time.

• A public bathhouse

A bathing place shared by many people brings a feeling of sharing the same kind of weakness with others. What grows large in that moment is the sense that you are not alone.

Like the body, the mind also needs to stop now and then and be washed clean, and this dream reminds you of exactly that.
