Room Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a room is really a way of seeing your own state of mind in another form, because the rooms in a dream often mirror your inner world. In a real house each room has its own purpose, and in a dream the rooms speak of separate parts of your life: the living room of your social life, the bedroom of intimacy and rest. The condition of the room changes the meaning.

• A clean, tidy room

This shows peace of mind and a stable stage of life.

• A dusty or run-down room

Something has been neglected for a long time. Perhaps you hardly have time to take care of yourself.

• Discovering a room you never knew about

This dream often reveals a side of yourself that was unknown to you until now.

• A locked room or a closed door

Some part of your mind is still closed even to you, perhaps a memory or a feeling you have been avoiding.

• Going back to an old house or your childhood room

This dream usually speaks of a search for safety, or of an unfinished chapter from the past.
