Door Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a door is usually a symbol of the feeling that you are standing before a change in your life. A door is the way from one place to another, so it always carries a moment of decision, and doors tend to appear in dreams when you are near a turning point. Whether the door was open or closed tells you the main story.

• An open door

Your mind is ready for a new opportunity or a new relationship.

• A locked door, or one that will not open

You feel blocked somewhere, and however hard you try, the way will not open. Perhaps the hesitation is inside you.

• Standing in front of an unfamiliar door

Waiting there without knowing what lies on the other side shows that your mind is anxious about an uncertain stage of life.

• Someone knocking at the door

Something or someone wants to come into your life, and you have not yet made proper room for it.

• Closing a door yourself

This shows a decision to end a chapter, or to protect your own boundaries.
