Window Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a window usually shows a wish to look toward new possibilities, a channel between your inner world and the world outside. Dreams of looking out a window often come when your mind wants to step beyond your present situation and see and think about something new. Both the state of the window and what you see through it change the meaning.

• Light and air coming through an open window

Your mind is ready for new opportunities.

• A closed window or one with the curtains drawn

You are keeping yourself away from some possibility, whether by choice or out of fear.

• A broken windowpane

Your sense of security, or some boundary in your life, has recently been broken.

• Green open fields through the window

  You sense something good ahead.

• A dark or blurry view outside the window

Some uncertainty about the future is still at work in your mind.

• Someone peeking in through the window from outside

This can speak of unease about your privacy.

You can walk out through a door, but through a window you can only look from a distance. This dream is telling you that you can understand a great deal by watching from a little distance, without always getting directly involved.
