Chair Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a chair usually speaks of your own position in life, or of a need to stop and rest for a while. A chair takes the weight off you and lets you sit still, so this dream often comes when you feel an urge to settle down a little, or to be recognized. The state of the chair and your relation to it change the dream's meaning.

• Sitting in a sturdy, comfortable chair

You feel secure in your position, at work or in your relationships.

• A broken or wobbly chair

You feel unsure about the position you have built, as if everything could fall apart at any moment.

• An empty chair

This often brings up someone's absence and the feeling of waiting for them, especially if the chair seems to belong to someone you know.

• Someone sitting in your chair

You feel insecure about your place in waking life.

• Pulling out a chair for someone

Offering someone a seat out of respect shows that your regard for that relationship is still whole.
