Sickle Dream Meaning

Dreaming of a sickle often brings to mind gathering in the fruits of your work or closing a chapter of your life. This sharp tool cuts ripe crops and also clears weeds, so a sickle tends to appear in dreams when your mind is getting ready to tidy something up or bring it to an end. The meaning depends on what the sickle is being used for.

• Cutting ripe rice with a sickle

After long effort, the time has come to enjoy what you have earned.

• Cutting weeds or thorny bushes

You feel an urge to remove something useless or harmful from your life.

• Holding a rusty or blunt sickle

You want to start something, but your preparation still falls short.

• A sickle in someone else's hand

This carries a feeling of threat, and if the sickle is pointed at someone the feeling becomes sharper. It is as if the shadow of a hard decision has fallen over a relationship.

Cutting does not mean destruction, and that is what this dream is saying. Often clearing the weeds is the first step in preparing the ground for a new crop.
